Vacation!!!

Every year Matt's work has their Annual General Meeting at some resort for all of their employees and their families.  This year it was in Hawaii at the Disney Resort, Au Lani.  This year we decided to pay for Matt's mom to come to help take care of the kids.  There's a dinner just for adults, for example, so we needed a babysitter.  Plus, she's just awesome, so it was great to have her there.  Before we went to Hawaii, we went to Idaho for a week, so we could see my grandpa, my sister, and spend some time with Matt's parents so the kids could get used to Nana.  We had a great time!

Scotty in his new Buzz Lightyear hat, blowing bubbles at Nana and Papa's.  And occasionally eating them...

Bobby just giggled when we put him in the pool for the first time.  It was so cute!
Scott had gone in a little too deep in this picture...

We spent the bulk of our time in the first 12 inches of water in the zero entry part of the pool.

Matt and I dressed up for the dinner.
Chip n Dale came to breakfast.
 Donald came too.

Gavin DeGraw was invited to perform at the Family Event on the beach.  Amazing!

Oh, and then Lifehouse came out to perform, too.

 Here we are!
Bobby woke up at 5am or earlier while we were in Hawaii so one morning Matt took him on an early morning stroll.
Bobby liked the New Zealand presentation at the Polynesian Cultural Center.  I wonder if he's really supposed to be Maori, because he greets me like they greet each other--forehead to forehead.  He also started slapping his legs while they performed the Hake dance.
Canoe parade.  This is New Zealand.
This is the Hawaiian dancers.  They also had a float (literally) for Tahiti, Samoa, Fiji, and Tonga.
Some hula dancers peformed at the Luau.

We took a tram from the PCC to see the Laie Temple and the BYU-Hawaii Campus.

We went to Pearl Harbor and Scott loved this Submarine control room.  He insisted that it was a train.
He had a hard time looking up at the rockets, so I lent him my sunglasses.
Here's a group picture at the USS Arizona Memorial.
Possibly the highlight of Scott's trip.  He rode on the Pineapple Express at the Dole Plantation.  Bobby fell asleep on the way there, so he and I napped in the car.
We were told we had to get Matsumoto's Shaved Ice, and we're glad we did.  It was awesome.
Here are our best shots from Turtle Beach.

I couldn't believe how close the ocean was to the road.  Absolutely beautiful.
And there were mountains on the other side of the street.  Also beautiful.

Aloha!
I have about 600 more pictures, so I'm sorry if it's obvious that there are gaps in our vacation... I just didn't know how to get it all in.
